Are The Hip finished?
There has been NO news whatsoever about a new album.
There has been no news on any tours.
There has been NO NEWS PERIOD!!!
What is going on with my favorite band, The Tragically Hip?

Well, we know they've been working on a new album for the better part of a year now, and they played new songs during the summer shows. So they can't be done yet. The Hip generally don't do a lot of touring unless they have a new record to support, so I wouldn't expect a tour announcement until the album is released. Really the only thing that's kinda fishy in all this is the fact that there hasn't been any communication from the band since the summer. In the past they used to send out little e-mails and updates on the progress of the album, etc... But lately we haven't heard squat. I'm hoping this mystery gets solved soon.

Im told from a worthy source that they have one more album and tour left in them...and then that is it. Hope my source is wrong..and maybe that is just where there heads are at right now..things can always change.

Perhaps the bigger news of your post seems to suggest that you and Esthete are done...

Not sure if you saw the other thread, but Paul posted a message on his Facebook page yesterday saying the Hip are indeed alive and well. They're heading back into the studio soon for some more recording, which likely means that we won't be seeing a new album until 2012. But I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. The new songs they played this past summer sounded fantastic. Particularly these two:
