was this thread even necessary? it isn't like it has been 5 years since we heard anything from the band. they toured in the summer.
After hearing those songs again...Peterbourgh was the last for me seems so long ago
I can't wait it is going to be a stellar album...and you know when you are still producing this kind of material retirement is not an option...

I caught it on Youtube somewhere..he was being interviewed at a volleyball match being played at the K-Rock Centre in Kingston. I'll look for it..but the question was something about what the band had been up to and he said recording with the expectation of an album out next spring.

The Hip will NEVER be done. As much as we all want new stuff all the time. Im just guessing they are working on a new album and relaxing at the same time. They have lives to live also. They have never done us wrong yet, so if this (quiet) is what we get for now, well there are enough Hip CDs in all our collections to keep us busy untill the next installment.
I haven't posted in here in forever because there hasn't been much to post about.
I certainly hope the break-up rumors are false, and I'm desperate for a new Hip release.

The rumors are indeed false. The band will be touring with a new album this year, and there are rumblings of deluxe reissues of some of the early records. The Hip are here to stay, my friend.
