GODDAMN Halifax was insane all around. Crosby gave us so much more to cheer about.

What an embarrassing representation of Canadian music for the closing ceremonies. I'd never even heard of Hedley, and I wish I hadn't. At least Young was there. :what

That was a sweet gold medal hockey match, and a great tourney. Very fun to watch. Made me realize that I'd probably be a huge hockey nut if I could foster an emotional allegience to a pro team. When Crosby scored in OT, I felt the same knot in my stomach I typically feel when my Buckeyes lose a football game, or the Reds lose a playoff game (though I really can't be sure since it's been so long the Reds made the postseason).

Congrats to Team Canada for winning the gold.

And also, congrats for winning the gold medal count. To me, that's most meaningful Olympic accomplishment. Here in the States, the media is focusing on total medal mount (of course), as the games draw to a close... but I'd rather we won the most gold. Great showing, Canada; great show, Vancouver.

Being fortunate enough to have been here for the games, I'm quite sad they're gone. After the win yesterday (Lined up at 9.00 AM outside our bar just to get a seat on the patio) and the ensuing madness downtown, I left the party feeling as if I'd just broken up with a girl. Weird emptiness. Now, the bars will go back to their shitty, early last calls and the city will feel an Olympic size hangover.

But still, in a city very often ragged on for having no sense of how to have a good time, it was quite the ride. Well done all around.

With the exception of the luger that died on opening day, this was the Greatest Olympics ever!!!

Yes it was the side of the OT game winner (and the game tying goal)

For the bronze medal game we had seats on the side that all 8 goals were scored on, so we got pretty lucky in that respect

Having been lucky enough to experience both Vancouver and Whistler for a few days during the games, I couldn't agree more.

Great choice of music too, although definitely no coincidence. I've heard him plug Hey Rosetta! more than once on his Prime Time Sports radio gig.

I'm wondering does anyone know if they are selling those black Canadian coats, ( I seen Harper wearing one a few times during the games) they have a red Maple Leaf on the arm that says "CAN" . They look like a quilt kinda look. I checked Ctvolympics.ca and couldn't find them....

All of the Olympic gear is sold at The Bay and Zeller's isn't it??
