The end of that bronze metal men's hockey game was INTENSE. I thought for sure Slovakia would get a goal. They have had some close heartbreaks over the last two nights, and to go home empty handed. It has been the farthest that country has ever gotten in Men's hockey thought, so I guess good on 'em.

The bronze medal game last night was very entertaining, maybe the best of the Olympics so far. I thought for sure Slovakia was going to tie it up, they had it all over Finland the last 5 minutes or so, and they came so close 3 or 4 times. Pavol Demitra hit the post with about 2 minutes to go. Pavol Demitra also set up Richard Zednik, Kiprusoff was sprawled out on the ice & Zednik had the entire top half of the net open, but he couldn't get it up high enough. And then Marian Gaborik also came close when he let go a wrist shot from inbetween the two circles but missed the net.

Speaking of Demitra, he's looked great in this tournament, hopefully he has a strong finish to the season/playoffs with the Canucks. I've been following Demitra since his days as an American Leaguer playing here for the PEI Senators.

NBC has decided to air the gold medal hockey game between the United States and Canada live in every time zone, rather than tape-delaying it for the West Coast as it's done for most of its Olympic telecasts the past two weeks. The game airs at 3 p.m. ET/noon PT.

Yes Neil Young was in the crowd...he's performing at the closing ceremonies which start in a couple minutes. Other performers include Nickelback, Avril Lavigne, Shania Twain...and who knows what other surprises they might have.

There were some huge names at the hockey game tonight...Neil Young, Bryan Adams, Michael J Fox, William Shatner, Wayne Gretzky, Mark Messier, Stephen Harper (the guy has been everywhere this week, lucky sob), Vince Vaughn, Donald Sutherland...plus i'm sure there were lots more.

I was hoping that Stephen Stills would make an appearance so we could see CSNY back together again... Maybe tonight at the closing ceremonies?
