I just got a call from my sister-in-law and she recommended I stay at the Holliday Inn 1 mile from the casino (there is free shuttle service from the hotel) and $150 is not too bad.

I am still staying at the campgrounds though. My wife heard about camping and did not want to camp for the whole weekend, so I am going to forget to mention the new hotel to her and just go with my friends.

this show is still not listed on the hip website. what would be the reason for that???

Ha.. I'd be pissed if you "forgot" to mention a hotel! For as much as I love the Hip, I don't know that I would want to camp the whole weekend either, so I'm kind of with your wife on that one. Though, it's not a bad drive - but will be fun to make a whole weekend out of it. Hope it's not too cold or rainy!

Actually, they are heated cabins with a full size fridge, stove, 2 separate bedrooms, 3 beds per bedroom.
It is like fake camping.
This picture is of a cabin one step better than mine. This one is a little bigger and has a microwave and a bar separating the kitchen and eating area.

Just got 8th row. Looks like they're still releasing good seats. Keep checking.

Grrr..now you all have me scoping out road trips to either Salamanca or Syracuse. Been out of town for shows the last three weekends. Going to see Joel Plaskett in a couple of weeks as well (although I think that is paid for).
