VioletLite Wrote:Am I the only person who thinks the melody in 'Honey, please' sounds like 'Is she really going out with him?' by Joe Jackson??? Or am I officially crazy????????? Confusedcratch:

I enjoy Struggle, so I am not with you....I think it leads perfectly into Depression Suite
Speaking of "sounds like", how about The Exact Feeling intro sounding like Jaded by Aerosmith?

Not sure what it is...i'm sure like every other album though it will grow on me as i listen more and more. For me every Hip Album has a couple songs that it takes a little bit more time for me to enjoy.
I'm still experiencing exponential enjoyment growth on every listen. The Last Recluse seems to be surfacing as a favourite for now, but this will change - too many gems to definitively pick just one.
Anyone else think that the first lyrics on "Honey Please" should be: "You think you're gonna take her away, with your money and your cocaine ..."

I still haven't had a chance to get past the first two songs today!! This is frustrating!

After the first few listens Coffee Girl, The Last Recluse, Queen of the Furrows, and Depression Suite all stood out BIG TIME... but being forced to choose one at this very moment I went with Queen.
I'm loving the Depression Suite............it's minus 11 inside my kettle
I was all over Coffee Girl at first...but Depression is really growing on me. So fricken sweeping and awesome. I wasn't sure what to make of this album at first...but albums usually take a couple listens for me to grasp it. After listening over 10 times now...this album is a-fricken-mazing! They never cease to amaze me.

haha I mentioned that in another thread, it sounds exactly like it.
The Last Recluse is amazing IMO. It stood out for me the most. I'm riding in along in my truck and as the song progressed my smile got bigger and bigger! I actually had CHILLS over this tune for the first time in many albums. "The Last Canada Goose......". I love the way Gord sings it.

The only part that's strange is the OOOOOOOO towards the end. I thought I was in a midevil dungeon or something. I would have prefered a ripping guitair solo from R.B. - That being said, I love it.
i chose Frozen in my Tracks...but it really changes as i had Queen and Depression at the top...also love exact feeling and Country Day!

wrt, those not enjoying the struggle has a name, i also did not enjoy very much and then it crossed over to a classic when i saw it live at the movie-ator.

in the long term, i am pretty sure that my fave will end up settling on Depression Suite.
I'm beginning to agree with those saying the "The Depression Suite" is the sleeper favourite, it takes some time to grow on you. However, current crown is still held by "Queen".
It's almost a shame how great songs like Country Day and Morning Moon have only 3% and 6%. There are just too many to choose from.

Maybe we should make a new poll: "Which WATS song ISN'T fantastic?" Smile
