Just wondering how people outside of Canada plan to get the new CD?
I am a fan of buying the actual disc, not using iTunes to download it. With the independent record stores going out in the Buffalo area, I was looking for some advice. I could always drive across the border to pick it up but that would be a last resort (don't really want to deal with the bridge traffic).
I see it on the BestBuy.com site but wonder if they will stock it in stores on the release date. In U.S. Best Buys I have only really seen Yer Favorites in stock, non of the earlier albums.
The pre-order options online always take longer to arrive and there is no way I can read all the reviews here without being able to listen for myself....that would be torture.
Just wondering what folks here had planned or if anyone knows of stores that will carry it.

Not necessarily. I've pre-ordered stuff from Amazon before and received it the day before the release date. And people that pre-ordered Joel Plaskett's new album from Maple Music are reporting they already have it, despite the fact it doesn't come out until the 24th...

I'd be surprised if the Best Buys around Buffalo don't have some copies of it on April 7. I bought In Beween Evolution at a Best Buy in Kansas City when it came out, and I'm hoping to find the new one at a Best Buy again this time around. We'll see...
Record Theatre has carried every release on the day of (day before actually) except for LBU.

If it is actually true that you can get a copy with the Live from the Bathhouse show on April 6th you should come over the Peace Bridge drive down the QEW (not far) Niagara Square Cinemas see the show and get your copy :thumb:

i am making the cross border trip//// i dont want the US version i want the full blown official self imported :thumb:
I live in the Philly area now, and have been debating on the pre order or Best Buy. I don't want to wait .... :rambo: ..I would like to have it on the release date. I did get World Container on the release date at the best buy here
I'm flyng over the Atlantic to Toronto for a day to pick it up as it's cheaper than ordering it from Amazon.
Ordered it off Amazon, hope to get it the day before release like I did with World Container.
Im in a bind, I want the new CD asap and the options are the problem.
Hmmm do I go and preorder and get the free LFTV CD with it.
Do I suck it up and go to see the Bathouse show.
Do I wait and order the LP and rip it on my turntable.
Fuck I cant decide but so far the preorder with the LFTV is winning out.

The LP comes with a free digital download
I've pre ordered from Maple Music... did it on an impulse without considering the other options!
I downloaded it from itunes but seeing as I am heading up to Vancouver on the weekend, will buy the actual disc then, or vinyl if I can track it down.
I was just happy that the US and Canadian releases were on the same day this time. I remember for WC taking a vacation day so my friend and I could head north to pick up the disc
