Planned on buying it at a local indie store, but was out visiting family longer than expected and had to stop at a nearby Best Buy in Utica and get it. Otherwise I woulda had to wait til the next day. They only had one copy that I saw. They also had about 4 copies of Yer Favourites, and that was it. Wish it wasn't the jewel case version, but wasn't gonna be bothered ordering the Canadian import. Totally loving the music...
Barnes & Noble seems to be the most reliable chain store as far as availability across the U.S.-- Best Buy seemed to have copies only in the Buffalo and Detroit regions as far as I could tell... I'm in Nashville and got my copy yesterday morning at a local independent record store (Grimey's) but I could have gotten it at B&N if I had to. I had to have the tangible album-- CD, case, notes and all, but I did rip it to .mp3s almost immediately so I could listen while walking around at work. It does feel an odd juxtaposition holding the CD case, reading the lyrics, yet listening on an .mp3 player. Such are the times...
I live in Atlanta, so I doubt it will be in any of the stores here. To tell you the truth, I didn't even bother to wait and see, the likelihood was so remote. I just pre-ordered it from Deep Discount DVD.
It hasn't arrived yet, but in the meantime I've listened to a few of the songs on the internet.

That is the last time I ever pre order the CD. I just got an email from the Canadian Post that my item was picked up today. I don't know if it is my cd or vinyl, but I have neither yet...... very disappointed :nooooo
I bought mine... the only copy they had... at a Zia Records in Tucson, Arizona while there for business that day. I would have been in Phoenix and maybe out of luck after a friend bought the Zia store that he went to's only copy. As upset as I was about them not touring in AZ again, I guess now I can see why. It always was amazing to see them play the small venues down here, though.
Hi fellow Hip fans, it's been awhile since I've posted.
I live in Michigan, and as far as I know am the only Hip fan around these parts (the Lansing, Michigan area that is). I ordered the new album from Maple Music and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival. (I know for a fact it shipped yesterday). I don't know of any record stores around here that are carrying "We are the Same," but I haven't checked either.
Anyway, I'm hearing great things about the new record and can hardly wait to see that package in my mailbox.
My girlfriend's arrived on Monday morning (!!!) so I've been bumming her copy. But tomorrow is payday and the vinyl version will be purchased from Amazon and shipped overnight for 3 bucks...
I pre-ordered from Maple Music - hoping that doing so benefits the band moreso than purchasing from a store (anyone know if that's true?). I had an email yesterday (the 8th!!!) that it's on its way, but today is the 9th and I have to pray it's waiting for me when get home from work.
Someone above said that they wish they would ship it so that it ARRIVES on the day of the release. I couldn't agree with you more!!! :nooooo
Well, as of this morning, mine is in the USA. So I'm hoping it's delivered on Saturday or Monday.
But I'd be willing to bet it's Tuesday-Thursday next week.
