can someone explain this presale business to me... apparently i need to be a part of some fan club to get tickets right now but when i go to ticketmaster, it lets me order tickets without asking for any presale password or anything... whats up with that
Get in there now and see if you can score seats. Password is 'same' (without quotes) — you don't need to belong to the fanclub.

There was a small issue, I believe would be the nice way of putting it. So a decision was made to forgo the password, as it was, shall we say, unavailable at the time . . .
Well now im really pissed off. My wife kept trying to get the presale password and wasted half an hour trying to get it.
So needless to say, we attempted to follow the rules and got fucked. I hate that.
Luck for us we ended up being able to score a couple tickets for the 3rd Kitchener show. But I will forever wonder what better tickets we might have gotten if we had just tried thru ticketmaster to begin with. Damn. Sad :nooooo :nooooo :nooooo :nooooo
I was able to get my first set of tickets at 10:01 by just buying the option with the CD. No password was required.

So "WesleyC" chose to wait for the password and avoid pre-ordering multiple copies of WATS, and thus, he missed out on the opportunity to buy good seats.

I, on the other hand, chose to go for good seats, but to do so without the password, i was forced to pre-purchase no fewer than FOUR copies of WATS.

A fine example of a "catch-22".

I don't suppose the band / record company will buy those CDs back.....?

It certainly didn't go according to plan, but that's why they invented multiple browser windows and the hipbase. The password was posted here at 10:02...

I don't even know where to start on that one. . . I still think you have incredibly nice feet though, for what it's worth. ps. I am finding out what to do in this situation.
Ticketmaster might be willing to drop them if you call... dunno.
At 10am, i just started randomly guessing passwords as they usually contain one word from a new song or album, I was able to get it on the third try. "moon" and "love" were my first 2 guesses.

Yes, I've since discovered that.

Unfortunately, I didn't have enough eyes / fingers available to do anything more than guess wildly at passwords on livenation.com while feverishly refreshing thehip.com AND simultaneously trying to keep tabs on this Hipbase thread (instead of the one you noted).

Already called Live Nation and requested cancelling the album pre-orders. Request denied. Surprise, surprise.

Thanks, but they're now in much worse shape after kicking myself all afternoon for deciding to buy those Mezzanine seats for $260 + 4 We Are The Sames. Tongue

All joking aside, it was my decision to go ahead and buy without the password, and as a result, I got the best reserved seats one can get at the Fillmore. If I had waited a little longer and tracked down the password, I surely wouldn't have gotten those seats. So essentially, my decision to act swiftly and pounce on the great seats cost me an extra $88. I guess I'm okay with it.

But give me a "Fight", a "Bring It All Back", and "Put It Off" on that night's setlist, and I'll be effing ecstatic!

But you also got good tickets to 4 shows... silver lining?
Wait a minute, MAv can you clear something up for me here. If I bought 4 tickets to the same show (same order as well) with the cd package I'm not going to be getting 4 cd packages am I? :?

The way I read my order was 1 CD per order.

I bought two tickets but only got charged for 1 CD add-on.

What chaps my hide is that I selected Canada Post for free delivery but I got charged $4.35 (or something similar) for Mail (includes processing fee)!!!

What the fuck is that about?
Too bad these are digitial versions and not hard copies. The extra copy holders could legally and morally sell their extras...
