It wouldn't surprise me if they were that expensive, it seems I being priced out of a lot of shows. The Dead, Springsteen, and now the Hip (if these prices are confirmed) are all $100 a ticket :nooooo . I normally hit a few shows for each of these bands, now maybe 1 show each......this sucks.

1. Go to ticketmaster.
2. Search for Tragically Hip
3. Click on More Info next to the show you are inquiring about.
4. Click on Ticket Prices

Massey Hall = CA $49.50 - CA $89.50 + charges
thanks, I'm looking for the Artpark/ TLA Philly prices. I tried their outlets and I can't see the prices. Oh well, Ill find out at 10am I guess.

Artpark is $59.50
Yep, definitely going to affect me. Was going to go to the Seattle show and then up to Victoria but after working out the cost to get to Victoria, plus tickets, plus accommodation, just can't do it right now. Wish so much Vancouver was on a weekend, then I could be persuaded!! I so much more enjoy seeing The Hip in Canada but I really don't have anything to complain about - I am going to get to see them twice

Will hit up Portland and Seattle. With Portland being under $30 and Seattle at $35, that is very reasonable. Pity the Canadian folks have to pay so much more, I feel for ya! Sad
without me having a job right now it's gonna set me to 1 show only but havent the pre-sales been different in the pass where we had the passwords BEFORE they went on sale, not the minute they do? So at 10 we crash the hip site trying to go to the ticket site?
I'd love to go see multiple shows this tour - especially given it's "An Evening With..." I think back about that 2000 tour and how great so many of those shows were. But $90 is steep and that will probably limit me to one show in Ottawa.
This will be my first tour in many many years where I will only be seeing one show and that is solely because of outrageous ticket prices. As many others have said, I have 2 kids and shelling out more than $100 for a band I have seen 25ish times just isn't in the budget. I went to 2 of the evening with shows in 2000 when I had no kids, and they are most certainly a great night but I just can't justify it this time around.

On top of that, I saw the DMB last summer at the Gorge and tickets were $45.00. Sure they were lawn seats but DMB in the Gorge is a much "bigger" concert than the Hip and tickets were considerably cheaper.

I am in the same boat Billy but remember there is a range of tickets for most shows. The Massey Hall shows have price ranges of $49, $69, & $89. If you paid $45 to sit on the lawn for DMB, surely you can see that the $49 ticket at Massey hall is comparable?

Well said. The worst seat at a venue like Massey Hall is better than about 75% of the seats at a large arena like the ACC. Some people are willing to pay a premium for the top seats, so why shouldn't the band get in on that? It's simple supply and demand economics. For those that don't want to pay $90, you can still get a great seat for $49. I don't get what all the fuss is about...

My cheapest option (Calgary) is $69.00, which as I stated is a significant price increase from what I paid at the Gorge. The Gorge is one of the most beautiful venues on the planet and DMB is consistently one of the highest grossing tour bands. No comparison as far as I'm concerned.

At any rate, I am very happy to get the opportunity to see an evening with show again, don't get me wrong.

$278/person for 4 nights of nearly front row hip?? Damn good if ya ask me
The prices absolutely affected my decision. I'm going to one show in Winnipeg instead of two. I knew three was out because I can't burn $300 ... as much as I'd want to see all the shows. If tickets were $50 I would have went to all three. But $103 for one ticket and at least $85 for another ... can't do it. Regrettable.
I also dislike that I was forced to buy a CD to get presale tickets, even though I already have it pre-ordered on iTunes. The things I do for this band.
