Just celebrated my ten year anniversary. Cheap Trick opened for Pearl Jam at the ol' dustbowl in Barrie, August 22 '98. A monumental day; My naive 14 year old, bespeckled ass (With a crumpled poster in hand) braved the mosh pit for the first few songs. I got the living shit kicked out of me, only before some dude picked me up off the ground, dragged me 15 rows back, made sure I was OK, and disappeared back into the fray. He left me with a 3 inch by 3 inch gash on my knee (The scar remains) I've since dubbed the dude my rock and roll saviour.
The whole thing mighta been as awesome as losing my virginity.

Smashing Pumpkins @ Maple Leaf Gardens in 96, it was on my 11th Birthday. I have a bootleg VHS of the show too.

Private winners-only I Mother Earth show at the Rev (a small club) in Edmonton. It was the tour debut of Brian as their vocalist, and I had to use a friend's ID as I was underage at the time. Ran into the band on the street after the show. Pretty good memories in general, aside from missing a few songs as the friend I'd brought along was more concerned with getting high than getting to the show.

Chantal Kreviazuk at UNB's Aitken Centre, in September, 1998. Hey, it was frosh week and that's the concert that UNB booked for us. I think that Emm Gryner opened. Truthfully, I don't really remember much at all about that concert. A little while later, I saw Hayden at the UNB SUB and that was a great concert.

Travis Tritt- Sudbury Arena Aug 1995
I hooked his roadies up with weed and they rewarded me with 3 free tickets to the concert the next night...Even though they overpaid for the merchandise and I got free tickets I still lost out on that deal.

I'm proud to say: John Denver, April 5, 1980, Kansas City, Missouri, Kemper Arena
I'm pretty sure I talked my parents into taking me. I remember it as a great night. The local reviewer, not so much:
"It was a glossy, well-rehearsed show with nary a note of real spontaneity, as predictable as his new RCA album, 'Autograph' is trite."
Full, old review, if you're curious: http://www.shellworld.net/~emily/articles/HASTOUCH.MUS

Helix & Kickaxe at a barn dance in Grayson, Sk. in 1988ish, I was 15. There, I said it. A few weeks later I saw Aerosmith at the Agridome in Regina...my first "big" concert. I still have that ticket stub where I paid $20.00.

My grandfather took me out to see Ricky Scaggs in Moncton in 1985. I was only 5, but I remember the show quite well. My first concert on my own was in 1992, when I saw Bryan Adams, Steve Miller Band, Extreme, Sass Jordan and Sloan.

Ah, Helix. I have a buddy who was taking vocal lessons from their lead singer up until last year. Strange but true....
My first concert, I don't remember. First memorable one was Johnny Winter, 1987 or 88. Still one of the best shows I've seen.

First indoor Concert was Maestro Fresh-Wes, when he was touring Symphony In Effect. The winter of 1989/90. It was at Stars All-ages Nightclub in Burlington. Great show. I let my backbone slide.
First outdoor concert for me was August 15, 1992. The Black Crowes performed a free show at G. Ross Lord Park in Toronto, Ontario to celebrate the 15th birthday of our local radio station Q107. Something like 80,000 people?\
Great thread idea.
