It sounds like Thompson Girl and Disarm because all three songs have the same chord progression - Em C G

It's a pretty good song. I just wish Gord was present for more than a single verse - it'd be better if he chimed in for the chorus after his verse or something.

Heard an interview with Dallas Green. He was talking about his inspiration for this song and his connection with the Hip. He said he wrote the song about 10 years ago, and was always wondering how he could arrange it. While listening to Phantom Power, Thompson Girl, struck him as the perfect vibe for that song.

So when he started to get the song going for this album he thought he should get Gord's voice in their as he was a lot of the inspiration. He called him up and asked, he agreed, so Dallas sent him a version of the song. Gord only had one day he was free, so he came in, and 2 hours later had it all done and ready for press.

So it looks like the Thomson girl comparisons were quite accurate.

I have to say the more I listen to this song the more I like it.

Highly recommended if you love his other work!
