The hackers IP: 195.113.86.69 (roamfw.sssvt.cz)
Looks like it is a student, or someone accessing the wireless network at this school sssvt.cz.
And all of the data is still safe and sound. BigA created a back-up script many moons ago that sends me a daily back-up of the database... If/when we get things sorted out, we'll reinstate all of the users with the specs they had before.

What a loser.
Hope you don't have too much trouble getting stuff back up and running. I was really starting to like the tracker. It can get addictive though....and expensive! My internet bandwith is not large enough so its costing me a fortune every month!

I haven't been to the tracker in a while, sorry to hear about this.
Hopefully it gets back up and running before long.

I *thought* the .cz extension was used in the Czech Republic, but I could be wrong...

Sorry to hear about this jagoff and what he's done to the tracker Chris. I'm not sure I truly understand and appreciate how much work you have done in keeping this up but I know I am grateful for all that you have done and how it's allowed me to build a nice live Hip collection. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to help since I'm not overly knowledgeable with those sorts of computer issues, but it sounds like you've prepared yourself and have backed things up which is no surprise for someone as smart as you. Good luck in getting the site back up and running and thank you for all that you've done on this in the past, now and long into the future.

Thanks everyone...
I need to make it clear that although most people associate me with the tracker, there are a bunch of people who work behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly. If it weren't for them fixing bugs in the code, setting up back-up plans, donating hardware, providing artwork and graphics, and of course, recording and sharing their shows the site would not exist.
All of those folks have also stepped up to offer their assistance during this unwanted downtime.
Thank you.

The Hip Tracker is beginning it's rebirth... I will hopefully have something to share this weekend. I ran a couple of test torrents today and things went as planned. Woo Hoo!!!

This is all good news!
You can't keep a good site down.
