Just a thought here...
The cover tunes in the encore this tour are unique and entertaining. I'm sure it keeps the band and us fans both guessing and challenged.
I'm sure most of these covers are worked out in soundcheck with very little rehersal time and the results are fresh and exciting.
I just wanted to suggest that maybe sometime in the future or for future tours the encore can insted of a cover, include a rarity...ie... When the Weight Comes Down, Freak Turbulance or The Bear.... Just something different...

Cover or rarity. I'll take either, just so long as I'm at every concert to hear every single one. I loved hearing The Weight in Barrie, ON, but it sucked that I missed a Clash cover the night before.
I'd prefer rarities, if only because I'm not familiar with half of the covers. Either's fine, though, it keeps things varied.
Covers are cool, but I'd soooo much rather hear their own rarities....

I think either is cool too. I hope someday we get an idea of how the cover "thing" came about. Also it would be cool to be in on how the guys go about selecting the cover for each show...ie... Is it a band decision? Is there a vote? Does one guy have more influence on this issue than the others? Do they possibly rotate who selects the song???
Seems to me they are busting out the covers because they are at a point where they are embracing the music that made them who they are. In between Evolution was really just that. Bob Rock has given them permission to dig deep into their influences and play around a bit. I think the next time they head into the studio to record some new music we are going to see all those influences bubbling up.

I think this thing with Bob Rock really revitalize the Hip. I think he gave them the confidence to explore and challange themselves a bit more. WC and the current tour reflect that.

I'm not the biggest WC fan, but the new tour is a really cool experience because you can literally see them maturing as artists.
I saw Queen Bitch, and it ROCKED, so I gotta go with covers, but I'd love to hear the rarities too. Both!

I have serious hatred for that song. I think it is the worst cover they have done yet, and of course that's what I got in Victotoria!
