that is definatly one movie i'm gonna stay away from
IMO there no reason for a twelve year old to be naked in any movie, especially under those circumstances

Sounds like they are trying to drum up some funding. I doubt the scene will see the light of day.

I doubt the movie, let alone that scene will see the light of day. And if it does, I won't watch it.

thats just twisted...only in america(hollywood at least). same goes for these 9-11 movies coming out now-how these studios can reap millionsfrom others tragedies goes beyond my moral comprehension. when the big one hits cali, i hope hollywood is smack dab on the fault line

Being a Child & Youth Care worker who has worked with sexually abused teenage girls, this is morally wrong. I've seen the aftermath that happens to some of these girls, and it's nothing to make money off of, unless it goes Directly towards helping to fix the problem (and I guarentee it wouldn't be accepted, and with good reason). It's sickening.
Not only that, there is no need for a 12 year old to be nude in a film.

I think it's pretty damn sick. Anyone who would willing toss their 12 year old daughter into a scenario where she is involved in anything sexual with a man, let alone being naked and raped by him should have their fuckin' head examined.
This lady is obviously exploiting her daughter for money and fame.
The idea of producing a film that involves a scene like this that actually caters to paedophiles sickens me aswell.
As far as what chicagoblackhawks77 said, thats is true, but I don't think this is the right way to go about it.

Will boycotting the movie, not including the scene, and/or having popular culture ignore issues of child sexual abuse make people stop abusing children? It could shed more light to the this issue, and be more than just a movie for the guys we see on Dateline every other week.
Wonder if this scene would be so controversial if the actress was over 18? I mean, how is rape any worse for the victim if she's (or he for that matter) 6 years younger?
I feel like I should re-read Foucault if I want to stay in this thread.
Cheers,
Pat

It's not so much that is is happening in the film that bothers me. It's the fact that the director felt it necessary to actually include a scene with a naked 12 year old girl actually being "raped" by this guy...
There is no need to include the actual event as it happens. I'm pretty sure everyone would get the hint of what happens to the girl if they show scenes from before and after the act...
Last I heard child porn was illegal... Naked 12 year old girl involved in a sexual act with a person on film (regardless if it's choreographed or not) is still pretty much child porn... So, what message is being sent here? "Sure you can film naked minors giving choreographed bj's and what have you... as long as it will be shown in theatre's nation-wide..."
This might be a bit extreme, but I think the filming should be released to the police instead of theatre's (regardless of the "message" of the movie, its still not legal...)
