Sad news but understandable. I haven't been very active here over the past couple of years, but always managed to find some time to stop in and get caught up.

Lance, thank you kindly for all your hard work over the years keeping this forum together. This is a sad day indeed, as this place has long been my online sanctuary, as well as my favorite place to get news and recommendations about new music/bands, among other things. Goddammit, I'm gonna miss this place.

This was a great place to hang out. I really enjoyed it! I've made so many friends here. My wife & I met a bunch of you at TTH shows in the USA & Canada over the last 20 years. My wife & I had so much fun on our numerous "Hip Trips" and meeting some of you have made our memories a little bit sweeter. I haven't been very active here lately, either. Lance, thank you for maintaining The Hipbase and this taking us on this great ride!

Glad I was able to be a part of this over the years. So much info/bootlegs/pre-sale info was shared and appreciated here.
Thanks to all that put the time into this and it will be missed even though I haven't been on much since the band is done.

I've been a member here for 13 years and a frequent visitor long before that. I must confess that I never really gave much thought to the fact that someone had to actually be running it. On behalf of all of those who, like me, just took this place for granted... THANK YOU.
