They had me scared today - I took SEA in the Suicide Pool I'm in (but thankfully took SF to cover in our office pool).

i thought we were gonna do it!! at least, unlike the bills we show heart!!

You got that right! Smile

I still don't know if Losman is good or not. The problem is that the rest of the team plays like shit when he's in the game. If other players would help him out and he still struggled, then maybe I'd be more convinced that he isn't as good as the Bills thought. Josh "hands of stone" Reed dropped a TD pass and one or two more passes just in the first half alone. Schoebel pads his stats against weaker teams. He has a few 2 sack games and by the end of the year his stats look good but are misleading. He disappears in most big games. He was non-existant yesterday. The only real strength of this Bills team is their Special Teams. ST play has been fantastic. Even Lindell has kicked well this season. Donahoe NEEDS TO GO ASAP!!!

I am just wondering if anybody has any opinions about David Carr and the Texans. I really think that David Carr is an awesome QB, he just has noone to block for him, noone to throw to (A. Johnson is alright), and the Texans also have no defense.

I have an opinion about the Texans: they suck.

Well, look at it this way - if the Broncos and Shanahan were able to make a decent QB out of Jake Plummer, anything is possible under the right circumstances.

I don't think we will see the Texans in the playoffs though until maybe 2008 or 2009.

The Texans have possibly the worst O-line in the league right now... or one of the worst anyway. Carr is on pace to have a record set for most times sacked in a season... breaking HIS OWN record! Given the size of some of the guys hitting him, it's a miracle he can even walk upright these days. If he doesn't get a decent o-line soon he's going to get killed out there.

Basically the Texans have to clean house... new management, new coach, new influx of talent. Carr himself may be the guy at QB, but who can tell since the rest of the team sucks so much ass?

Maybe I gotta break down one of these years and order the NFL package (whatever it's called), because they didn't show this game on TV, but instead had to suffer through the Bills laying down and dying against the Chargers! :x

Brees was great that game though... only 5 incompletions all day, unbelievable.

But it's a crime that they had to show that when possibly the best game of the year was unavailable to me just becuase I don't have a dish or didn't pay extra for the NFL package. Grrr... :x :rambo:

I'm disappointed that the Bengals 'D' couldn't find a way to come up with a stop every once in awhile on some Indy 3rd downs. Sheesh. I thought the defense would play a little better than that, but I have to hand it to Peyton and the Colts. I've watched a ton of football in my 33 years on this planet, and that Indy offensive unit is probably the most impressive I have EVER seen. Manning operates like a surgeon out there. I find it hard to believe that anyone can beat the Colts this year.

However, I agree with Cincy head coach Marvin Lewis in that the Bengals are built to hang with a team like Indy, and we could get another shot at them in the playoffs. I do think Cincy's offense is one of the three best in the NFL (along with Indy and Denver), and I hope that the Bengals take care of business here in the second half and prime themselves for a run at the AFC Championship!

By the way Lizard King - that's an intriguingmatchup with your Chiefs at Arrowhead for our final game....should be entertaining!

The Indy game was on CBS on my cable package and the Bills game was a CBS game but was shown on CHCH. So, Indy game was on CH 4 and the Bills game was on Ch 17. I watched the Bills since they are my team but couldn't stay with that one. I had to switch to the GAME OF THE WEEK and watch the Indy/Cincy shootout.

That assessment of the Texans sounds eerily similar to an assessment for the Bills. I think Buffalo and Houston have the two worst O-lines this season. Buffalo's line is WORSE than last season.

I don't think Carr can be let off the hook that easily though. He deserves some slack for the poor OLine but he has to shoulder some of the blame. The fact is, he has made many poor decisions this season and throughout his career. He should be a little better in his decision making. He was a number one pick and he's been in the league a few years. This season should have been his season to show real promise. He's failed at that. He has a TERRIFIC WR in Andre Johnson. Johnson isn't just "alright". He's a GREAT WR.

3 missed fg's. I doubt he feels too good right now. The worst was his last attempt where he inexcusably left a 45 yard try short. That's pitiful.

And KC beat NE! This is going to be a great year in the playoffs
