This was one tour before I got to see them, so I've also been curious what a 1995 show looked like (visuals, backdrop, lighting). Would love for some more full shows from the mid-90s to surface. The fall 1992 tour for FC always intrigued me as there are hardly any setlists even documented from that tour. Peak live Hip I think is between 1992-2000 (mix of catalogue, setlists and performances).
Just watched some of that Hamilton show, and it's fantastic. They really were the best live band on the planet at that time. I too would love to see more shows surface from '95-'00. No doubt the Hip have mountains of great live material sitting in their vaults. Hopefully they'll eventually release some of that stuff.

I saw them 6 days prior to the Hamilton show in Saint John. I've never seen any video footage of that 1995 tour so the Hamilton show footage was great for re-kindling some memories of what things looked (and sounded like back then). This tour represents the peak of the band for me (although I could go along with the Henhouse tour sharing that title). Gord has never sounded better and he was at his spastic best on stage that tour. And the band... wow. Ferocious! One other thing I noted was the fervor of the audience response. Just listen to that cheer after Grace, Too. With the exception of this past summer when there were many different reasons for cheering, I doubt the band has ever been as well received and loved as they were on that tour.
sean.bonner Wrote:So The Hip once made an album called Music@Work, and they once toured for it.
On that tour, they played the Filmore in San Francisco, and there was evidence that it was filmed pro-shot style.
And some over-attached die hard always wanted more of that footage released, cuz there was only like, one video online from it ... (Membership me thinks...)|
Looks like somebody finally found the rest...
