You think Blue is bad, try the Blue version here, its not as good, and not as strong.

I do hate to go off topic but I just wanted to say that the Blue you drink in Michigan is the exact same Blue drank in Canada. Same liquid, same brown bottle, just a different label for the American consumer ('Import'). Most of the time half a run will be Canadian Labels, then they will switch to American labels.

Sorry to go off topic again but..... I have to agree with PRZ. The Labatts Blue sold in Michigan sucks and is not the same as it is in Canada. It may have the same label some off the time, (most of the time it's the import label), but as far as I know beer in Michigan can not have a 5% alcohol content as it does in Canada. Therefore doesn't that mean there is some change in the brewing process that changes the taste and lowers the alcohol content? I have tried Labatts Blue from the Duty Free in Canada and the Blue bought from the local store here and it doesn't taste the same. Maybe the Labatt beer in Michigan is just watered down. Give me the real thing from Canada! (with a TTH single please).

i agree with the michigan boys. the labatts blue sold down here in new york isn't the same as what i buy when i'm camping for the weekend at the ballet. i'll gladly drink blue while in canada but when i'm home its gotta be da bud.
i always thought the alcohol was a higher content in canada.

Well gents, I'm telling you that the Blue in the US is 100% the same Blue drank in Canada. It's the same alcohol content as well. The reason people always make fun of AMerican beer being low in alcohol is because Americans measure alcohol as % by weight where in Canada is is % by volume.

I do have a reason why Blue tastes better in Canada -- it's fresher. Labatt doesn't have as strong control over America distrubutors (in Ontario Labatt is part owner of The Beer Store), so once the beer gets to warehouses in the States it could sit for a while in warm conditions. Time and heat are not good for beer.

So, same beer 100%, but probably tastes worse because it's not as frsh as the stuff you drink in Canada.

This is sorta a 3rd single that you can get before the Album comes out June 29th. In Ontario (at least) in 28's of Labatt Blue starting in June there will be a free CD. 4 different CD's to collect (OLP, Jet, Sum 41 and TTH). The TTH CD has 'Heaven is a Better Place Today" as the lead track. The other 2 songs are live tracks (Bobcaygeon and Music@Work) from the Skydome show on June 23, 2003 (first SARSTOCK?).

Heard the CD today, and the track sounds a bit punk. Gord also sounds out of key with his vocals. Guess it's what they were going for.

Look for it in Labatt Blue 28's. Nice freebie.

Hi.. I remembered reading this on Wednesday.. and noticed another topic was started.. regarding downloading.. the links are not working for me.. I had planned to go the beer route.. Except I HATE Labbatt's Blue.. the thought getting through 28 bottles :roll:

I guess, I will ask if I can look in the case first to make sure it's The Hip Cd :wink:

Geez... What happened to Molson Canadian Rocks? that's more tolerable than Blue Molson Export would have been the ultimate.. :lol:
