i agree with the michigan boys. the labatts blue sold down here in new york isn't the same as what i buy when i'm camping for the weekend at the ballet. i'll gladly drink blue while in canada but when i'm home its gotta be da bud.
i always thought the alcohol was a higher content in canada.

Well gents, I'm telling you that the Blue in the US is 100% the same Blue drank in Canada. It's the same alcohol content as well. The reason people always make fun of AMerican beer being low in alcohol is because Americans measure alcohol as % by weight where in Canada is is % by volume.
I do have a reason why Blue tastes better in Canada -- it's fresher. Labatt doesn't have as strong control over America distrubutors (in Ontario Labatt is part owner of The Beer Store), so once the beer gets to warehouses in the States it could sit for a while in warm conditions. Time and heat are not good for beer.
So, same beer 100%, but probably tastes worse because it's not as frsh as the stuff you drink in Canada.
