Did they just stop playing after Fiddler's?
Or did you just go to bed Chris?

Thats a pretty damn strong list IMO. There were songs I had hoped to hear, but i'm definitely not disappointed!
There didn't seem to be too much going on out of the ordinary from Gordie, but I can't be too sure about that as I couldn't see 50% of the concert because of some guy jumping around infront of me and quite a few other people.
I don't have any issues with people standing up if everyone else is doing the same thing, but when you're the only person in the whole section standing up and you have 10+ people behind you of which you are blocking their view of the stage, that's just plain rude. True, you paid your money to go to the show and you are free to do whatever you want, but everyone else paid their money to hear and SEE The Hip, not hear The Hip and see YOU

I dunno, it felt very "greatest hits-y" to me. Pretty standard show, fully completely was great and the 2nd half from Kids on was much better.
If I never hear fireworks again, it'll *still* be too soon.

A lot of fans like myself love the greatest hitsy type set lists. But as a HIP fan there is no bad set list. It was my 28th time seeing them and FIRST time hearing 38 Years. I loved the show. The only thing missing for me was a cover song, last tour each show got a cover song, like in Ottawa a year ago when they played Dylan's "How Does It Feel?"

Maybe... but you just attended the first show ever to have Fiddler's Green and 38 Years Old in the same setlist....
so take it as you may....
I'd give my left nut to see any fan club show.
I pray that they play 'thehip.com presents show' out at the Imperial in SJ... or the Neptune in H-fax.
Fuck.
I love the hip.

38 Years Old and Fiddler's Green were the highlights for sure. Unfortunately Paul broke a string during 38 Years Old. The length of the show was great. The venue was terrific. Gord's voice is back in form, no more just screaming the lyrics like he was doing toward the end of the World Container tour. A lot of antics, not a lot of ranting. The band was on. Entertaining show for sure, but the setlist was definitely too greatest hits. I was hoping for a show like the summer fling ones of '06, but I wasn't disappointed at all. I've seen a couple "greatest hits" shows now, 6 shows in total . . but never Three Pistols. I really hope Kingston is not a carbon copy of Brockville though.

Though I wasn't there (Apparently my uncle was) let's not forget that this gig was a warm-up for Kingston. The band hasn't played in months...Why not play the ones they've played a thousand times before in order to warm-up for the big one on Saturday? Just a thought.
