Hey there,

Anyone here going to the Grande Prairie, Alberta show on Jan 13th? I'm going but I'm afraid that the show will be ruined by the general boorish drunken riff-raff representative of the standard Grande Prairie population. The kind of people whose favourite Hip songs are NOIS, Boots or Hearts, and Highway Girl and who have never heard any Tragically Hip CD released after "Fully Completely". I'm scared.

I'm driving up from Edmonton (grandma lives in Hythe, so it kills two birds), and have similar concerns. Then again, the same criticisms could be leveled at the vast majority of fans that attend any Hip show (or any concert by any band), so it's not that big a deal really. As long as the yelling isn't too persistent, I'll be content.

I think beer should be banned from shows altogether. Maybe it's because I'm not old enough to buy any, but I hate all the drunk people acting like assholes and ruining the fun for everyone except them.

I also seem to remember that the Hip had an encounter with a running shoe in Edmonton back in their early days. Anyone remember that?

I don't remember that, but I do remember some fookin idot at the last roadside in Camrose threw something at Gord. Extremely bad form :x
