They won't win. They have two really good scoring lines, but their 3rd and 4th lines are awful, they only have three good D left, and they don't have a starting goalie at the moment (I bet they get Khabibulin, another unproven playoff performer like Kariya and Selanne).
Defence beats offence in today's NHL, and the Wings now have the best blue line in the league, plus they will get a forward in the Joseph trade and then sign someone else.
I just love how Paul Kariya is being made out as a saint for taking less money. This is the same guy who robbed the Ducks blind for the past ten yrs, he isn't worth anywhere close to the $10 million they payed him...then he shows no loyalty and just leaves. I've never liked him, I've never liked the Avs, and this has just added to my hate towards them.

Sakic, Forsberg, Salami (spelled that way on purpose) and Kariya..wowsa. If I were a goaltender (and I am) Id be scared...very scared.
