Hi Hip fans,

I don't know how it happened - perhaps a virus - but all of a sudden I no longer have any sound on my laptop. In the bottom right hand corner of my screen, there is no longer an icon for volume/sound, and when I go to device manager in control panel, nothing is listed (no sound, no anything). Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'm lost without the Song of the Day and the Youtube videos....

Check you laptop's manifacturer's website in the downloads section. Try and locate and download the latest driver for your sound card / your laptop model, and re-install it.

Your sound card may have committed suicide.
