Arena Tour - Vancouver??
#1

I know that the guys just finished 4 nights in Vancouver and I was lucky enough to attend 1 of them but I'm still wondering why there was no show scheduled for the Tour in the New Year.

Any thoughts? Anybody heard rumours of them adding a show at GM Place/Pacific Coliseum?

You need to go to www.thehip.com although you are a little late for tickets...

*EDIT: I'm an idiot. Sorry.

No Vancouver or Calgary this time around. They got four nights each and I'm thinking it would've been a bit of overkill had they booked arena dates to boot.

I don't mean to offend anyone by this, but I really think that brand naming of arena's has gone too far when you have the 'Save On Foods Memorial Centre'. It hardly rolls off the tongue.

...Anyway, I'm just jealous. Wink Sorry for going off topic as well.

Agreed...However, I have no doubt that they would sell out a night in Vancouver or Calgary despite having the club shows. I know many people that had no luck in getting tickets to any of the 4 Commodore shows and would definately be going to an arena show if there was one coming.

I already know the reason, but....The ACC does have an arena tour show scheduled in the "center of the universe." Big Grin

Selling out 4 club shows in one city (which is actually only a few hundred different people anyway) does not equate to selling 18,000 tickets for one show. Toronto is actually only the "centre of the universe" for two things (The Hip and Hockey), but even the ACC was not completely sold out last time around.

I was under the impression that it was. Oh well.

I can't speak for Calgary, but if they announced a show at GM Place right after the Victoria shows in January...they would sell out.

I still have a feeling that we will see one announced. Crossing my fingers!!

I wasn't able to get tickets for that show when I decdided to go a few days before. I had to get a pair through eBay.

The only other proof required to show Toronto think that they are the center of the universe is that someone took the time to make this map:
