Just got back from my 4th hip show in the last year and before i went everyone said the soud in the dome was garbage but I thought it sounded great except for a few glitches. Hip rocked the place of course! It brought back memories of woodstock 99 with all them people. well a great time cool people! when is the next show? can't wait!
....also anyone else think olp and sum41 put on realy great shows?

I agree that the sound was quite good for the Hip (and for Sarah McLachlan via video feed), but I also thought the sound for OLP was horrible. I couldn't even figure out what the first song was, the sound was so bad.

sounded like shit to me too. at times the music was way too quiet because of the limited number of speakers they had. there was way too much echo. it was terrible. when the hip played it wasnt too bad, but OLP was just horrible for their entire set.

I'm approaching 40 HIP shows and it was the worst sound I have ever heard and I was on the floor! The beer was rather good though!

How long did you have't to wait in line for beer?
How much was the beer? Just wondering..some times these things are amuzing because they are so ridulous!
The NY show I waited in line for 45 min for 2 (limit) piss warm beers!

For a minute there, I thought I was the only one...check out my review and tell me I'm not right there too.
The beer though - zero line ups (on the floor) and cold and delicious and the usual five something price.
Thank god.

For once, the beer lines weren't bad, the worst lines are at Copps Coliseum in the Hammer for any event, all concessions! The beers were $6.50 for a 20 oz. I think, maybe more, I forget, cold and good though. One of mine ended up on some retards in the 3rd row right after they gave my girlfriend a hassle cause they weren't our seats and gave her shoves. To all the lackadaisical security guys there we got back in anyways you idiots! We hung there because there were so many people in the aisles we didn't even want to try get to our 17th row seats that were in the middle of the row because the row looked full! Too long a story to really tell the whole thing, this happened about two songs into BNL. We got escorted out through the back and I saw Paul having a dart and pleaded to him for help saying "My girlfriend gets assaulted and we get tossed, I've been to over 30 shows and we only came to see you guys" gave his shoulders a shrug and I laughed about it the next day! Anyways, just so you know, we were not the trouble makers, this was my first time having a problem at a Hip show and I've been to many! Peace!

i was in the same row as mark and i felt that the sound for each band was different. Sum41- Ok, OLP- BAD, Avril- turn down your voice, Bnl- sounded the best, you can hear every word,
Hip- When there setting up stage it takes soo much longer to get up theirs up, then any other band. More monitiors are put up and it took the entire 50 min to get it ready. Then it sounds weak and "bathroom" like. I dont understand it. Im sure it sounds better the closer u are, because ive been on the floor and in the nose bleeds with the hip and its much worse up there. Its not always the venue but i think its their setup and equipment.
Hummingbird sounded great earlier in the year..

I agree, the sound was horrible. Seemed until Avril. I was in 100s, then when HIP came on got down on the floor (in the aisle-sorry guys) and it was better there, except the stage was WAY up there. I'm not complaining, I look up to these guys anyways, but I would WAY rather a smaller venue. Even if we have to smouch together.
