In case this hasn't been mentioned yet, if you open your deluxe Hipeponymous "booklet/case" and look on the page after the table of contents, there are some lyrics written.
One set goes like this,
"Here's a world container
with your name on it
it is not a billion ways
to go berserk
It's not a country
that quits on you
(always at dinner)
there'sno himmler
on this one
there's no dessert."
Perhaps these are the lyrics to one of the songs on the new album (or more likely an earlier version of the lyrics to a song on the new album).

Yeah good find! I'm surprised none of us noticed this until today.

I haven't checked yet, but I think those lyrics accompany one of those Right Whale videos on the 2nd dvd aswell.

To drag up an old dead horse....
I was flipping thru the book the other day, and I only then realized how MANY lyrics from other songs are in there too! looks like bits of Pretend, Last Night I Dreamed, and a few others, and that was only on the four or five pages I checked out........
I'll have to re-read the book and see what else I can find.
I always like listening to live shows and hearing snippets of "songs to come" after the fact that I recognize.....

I was going to start this thread soon after the Calgary shows but I figured it would have been noticed already and that I would get flamed because I am so new. There are a few references during the dvd "That Night.." also, and even some of the lyrics to The New Maybe in there....again I figured you lot would have been all over that so I abstained.
cheers!

He's done it a number of times during different songs. I'm pretty sure he did it during 'Poets' at Live 8 and during Meridian on 'That Night in Toronto'.
