Summer of 69 tops the list....

They didn't even let people choose their own favourite driving song. The article says that "The seven songs were selected by music journalists." (Yeah, from what psychadelic stations?) cratch: I would have liked to have chosen my own favourite song thank you very much.

"It's a good song because it's one that everyone knows," the CKOI-FM personality said yesterday

I know the lyrics. My grandmother knows the lyrics. My dog knows the lyrics. It's a Brian Adams song, it's about as difficult to learn as a Coke jingle, and half as good.

This list reads like the back of one of those $4 compilation CD's they sell on Wal-Mart endcaps.

They said that the survey was done randomly over the phone, but I wonder what age group they surveyed/targeted? I highly doubt that these are the favourite driving songs of my generation. They sure aren't any of my favourites that's for sure.

agreed

a real *driving song list* is not complete if Locked in the Trunk of a Car isn't on it

Yeah, certainly none of my favorite driving songs. I don't even care for most of the songs on there really, and I certainly wouldn't be caught driving through the city with them turned up loud enough for anyone to hear.

"Each summer, it's a song that people request."

Point being?
