When did you send your request? What were looking for? Maybe they are trying to work out the logistics of how to satisfy your request?

I've sent multiple emails to tth@thehip dot calm and always received a response.

Chris and Twang, thanks for your replies. MAv sent me a private message and is helping out. My good friend lost his granddaugher (3 year old) to cancer...I am just so eager to try to help them out.

Hopefully you all understand.

I will be patient and wait.

cheers

Is this about money or a performance? Not to sound like an insensitive asshole, but why would the grandfather get a personal Hip show? I'm not trying in any way to say it's not painful for him, but the grandfather? Did he take care of the child? And if so, how would that qualify him for such a request? I'm all for helping out those in need, but as a musician myself I'd much rather play for someone who's actually sick, not a grieving relative that's two generations away from the child who died. If the band does it, cool. If I had time, I'd do it. But I still think it's kind of a strange request, if that's really what the request is.

Other than you, no one has suggested anything regarding money or a performance....

Where did you get the screw_ball information? Neither performance nor money was mentioned in the post and why would you assume that this person is asking for a personal concert.

Your response might make sense to you, but makes no sense to me. There was no mention in the original post of what the request is, all they are trying to do is get in touch with the person who handles official requests, which is the first step. Sorry screw_ball, but yuor post is stranger than the original post, which, actually, isn't strange, just a little impatientSmile

I really don't have to answer such a (yes, it is insensitive, thats about the only thing you have hit the mark on) post but just so you can sleep well....

No I am not dumb enough to ask the band to play.

Enjoy the Day,

A charity organization I volunteer for called the Big Brothers Association had a chairty golf tournament, and I thought it would be neat if Paul and Gord S. would come so the organizer emailed them and they came, and they also sent a Hip Jersey signed by all of them, as well as a photo.

Which I won as a door prize

and I got these pics signed

To me, a band +a charity usually comes out to the band donating money or playing a show for the charity. In about 100% of the cases I've seen a band work with a charity, it amount to one of the two, so I just assumed it had something to do with playing a show or donating money. Sorry if I pissed anyone off, but I think I asked legitimate (though uninformed) questions.

To use a quote from my mother, sometimes it isn't what you say, but rather how you said it...........

I tried my hardest for it to come out as nice as I could, but I seriously think that this time it's more about what I said than how I said it.
