Hey sorry if this was already posted, I did a quick search but nothing specific and hey I'm in a bit of a mornin rush (always in a rush) still have to pick up tickets hock: , but:

How do I get from Hamilton to the Ft. York venue from GO train/bus/subway/streetcar etc?

Sorry I have no knowlege of Toronto other than getting to Union Station.

Also, what points of refreshment are in the immediate vicinity? Anything else I should be aware of?

If you're coming from the west I wouldn't bother going to Union Station. Coming from Hamilton you'd probably be best to get the GO bus that connects with the train at Burlington (if you get the express bus you always run the risk of there being traffic problems and that goes only to Union).

The buses leave Hamilton at 35 minutes past the hour up until 2:35, then the times are bit different through rush hour so I'd check the website.

Get off at Exhibition (all the trains stop there eastbound at that time). From there you can either walk (I don't think it's that far), or take the 511 streetcar. The streetcars *should* be a lot less busy coming from Exhibition than the other direction. Unless everyone else has the same idea!

Go with what Nick said... it's an easy walk from the Exhibition station to Fort York and you'll avoid all kinds of trafiic (vehicular and pedestrian) congestion.

Just make sure you catch the last bus home, what the driver's refer to as the "vomit comit." It's a long walk to Westdale.

make sure everyone is aware that GO transit is adjusting their scheduling starting tomorrow june 24th. so your train and bus times for today may be different tomorrow.

Hi Chancellor,

My husband had to work overtime today (he usually works half days on Friday) so I doubt we'll be getting out of here until 4 or 5.

It would be cool to meet up if you guys are leaving at a similar time - let me know in the next bit if you are.

It looks like we're driving to Burlington to get the train to save time, so yeah, between 4 and 5 hopefully.
