Hey everyone.. I scored a pair of tickets for the show last weekend, got them late, but hey, I got some.
Wondering how many hip basers are going to the show. Im fairly new to posting around here, but have been a loyal hip fan for years and years.. Ive seen ... dman 19 shows... so Guelph will be my 20th since the early 90s. I know thats not comparison to some of you here.
Anyway me and my g/f are looking to enoy the day at guelph lake and soak up some sun and good tunes from teh hip.
Is anyone planning a big get toghether there? meeting up to get the large group of hipbase fans to the front ... hehehe in numbers anyone can get anywhere. Im looking foward ot the show.

I'm planning on going if my tickets ever show up from Maple Music. I don't know why some of these other ticket companies (like Maple Music, Music Today, etc.) have to wait until the very last minute to send out the tickets. I went through this same waiting game with my Metallica tickets in the summer of 2003... luckily they showed up a couple days before I had to leave for Montreal.

I planned on meeting Jamie (thehip11) but we haven't made any concrete plans yet. Set up a time and a meeting place and we can make it official.

I'll be there too, and wouldnt mind meeting up with some hipbasers..
I dont know what the park is set up like, where any good meetings spots would be?

What time is everyone planning on showing up at? I'd like to go early to try and get closer to the stage, but who knows how the place is gonna be set up. Might be hard to pick a meeting place cause of the venue being outdoors.

Weatehr is looking fantastic for the show on Sunday... 32C is the high...
Were hoping to get tehre right for when the gates open at 4pm... so we can try and get as close as possible, although from what i have heard its gonna be a smaller crowd ( 5000 peeps??? )
Should be a good show.. Im excited.

Does anyone know the layout of the venue? It is on an island as far as I understand.
I know the conservation authority isn't allowing alcohol but I wonder if the venue itself will have a beer tent? (hoping... it's going to be hot)
I think we're going to go into the conservation area early to enjoy some refreshments, non-alcoholic... of course :lol:

I plan on heading up there at least for around 3, I imagine that doors open at 4, but there might be a big line to let people in before that, or maybe I'm wrong.
Either way, I have no idea what to expect in this conservation area so has anyone been there,
Is there a main gate, parking and then walk to the island? somehow, anyone know?

I will be driving solo to the show as well and looking forward to meeting as many people as I can.
I still have no idea how to drive to this place. Does anyone have directions from the 401 or QEW?
