My daughter, who is exactly 1 week shy of being 2 years old, cracks me up on a continual basis. She is aware now that she is funny, or at least she knows how to make mom and dad laugh, and does so often. She is a also very social person, and will talk to adults and kids where ever we are.
We play music in our house all the time, and our daughter is already developing an appreciation for it and requests certain discs that she wants to hear. A particular favorite is "Toots & The Maytals"...some really awesome, old school reggae. The other day we were out and about, and she starts singing "5446, That's My Number". Picture this, her and I are in the library, and out of the blue she exclaims, "Give it to me, 1 time...huh. Give it to me, 2 times...huh, huh", in her sweet, little pixie voice. People gave us an odd look, and I couldn't do anything but laugh and sing the song with her.
On another outing, her and my wife came to watch me play volleyball. While I was on the court, I guess she looked over at a lady who was at the neighbouring table and said to her, "Telly's funny" (In a voice that would suggest that that information was a given). Telly monster of Sesame Street fame, of course, who she adores and thinks is pretty darn funny, and wants eveybody to know that she thinks he's funny.
