I was just wondering if there are many people on this board that watch UFC pay per views or the show. Maybe it just appeals to my desire/inambition to brutally attack some people. Anyway this ppv is looking awesome with Forrest Griffin V Tito Ortiz. And then the show starting with Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz as coaches. Any predictions/betting tips?

I think it all comes down to if tito can get him to the ground or not. It is said that forrest has a head like a cast iron pan. Interesting little fact Forrest's first ever MMA fight was versus Dan Severn

Forrest is the definite underdog. I don't think Tito's ego will have anything to do with the outcome. 8)[/quote]
His ego will cause him to underestimate Forrest.....to have an attitude such as..."TV boy,you cant hang with me"
With his ego being the way it is, he lacks respect for his opponents. And subsequently will "swing for the fences" with each punch he throws, instead of fighting a calculated fight.

I'm really lookin forward to the Arlovski Vs. Sylvia fight, I dont think Arlovski can be beaten. And I dont think Forrst will be be able to beat Ortiz, I haven't seen that much of him but he seems to really only be a pure thrower. Griffin vs. Bonner on the finale of season one was a pure street fight brawl, hopefully this fight will be the same way if Tito decides to go toe to toe.

if Tito decides to go Toe to Toe with Forrest, that will be his ego making that decision for him. Which, if he does that, he most likely will love.
If Forrest can stay up on his feet, I take Forrest by KO in 2nd round

Forrest can definitely win but I wouldn't totally discount Tito either. Forrest was fighting great a few years back against Jeremy Horn, one of the top fighters in the world, until Horn got him with a high leg kick. Forrest is the real deal. I just don't know if he will beat Tito. He can beat him but Tito is also capable of getting him to the mat and pounding him.
Sylvia has about a 10% chance against Arlovski. That's a mismatch.

I personally would give Sylvia more than 10% just for the fact that he trains with the Militich camp. Not to mention I was watchin a ufc unleashed on spike and they showed a match Sylvia was in. I forget who the opponent was. But Sylvia went for a high kick and even with the guy getting a full block the force still sent him 3 feet from where he started. Later in the fight he actually connected to the head with a kick and the guy was out.

That UFC could not have gone worse. The fights were great just didn't like the outcomes. I thought Forrest was screwed after that first round but the guy has huge heart. If he defends Tito's last takedown in the 3rd he wins that fight.
Are you kidding Sylvia wins that fight? I was still standing from Orlovskys KD and before I knew el douchbag himself is winning the fight. Is Orlovskys chin that bad? Look at what Forrest took and compare that to Sylvias punch.
Is St. Pierre on the Gracie vs Hughes card? Who else is in the next UFC?

Mad props indeed. I forgot about this thread.
After watching UFC 59 I have the following observations:
Ortiz/Griffin could have gone either way but by no means was Griffin robbed. It was close.
Arlovski got stupid and got caught with a short uppercut but he didn't look hurt. I thought the ref stopped it too early at first but after watching the replay I guess Arlovski was in a bad position. Arlovski beats Sylvia nine out of ten times and he'll beat him in a rematch. I won't say Sylvia got lucky but let's just say those fortunate circumstances won't happen for him again.
The UFC for the most part is boring to watch.

Did you hear Bonner say he wanted Forrest again? The first one was the best fight I have ever seen. If Forrest works on his takedown defense he can handle Tito or anyone else in his division.
