#1

i know its probably been posted a million times, but i was watching this movie last night and heard sarah polley (?) do a cover of Courage. It was pretty good, albeit entirely different from the hip version.

The movie was great too

I LOVE Sarah Polley's version of Courage. It's quite beautiful and such a unique take on the song.

I Love her voice and she's pretty Dam Hott as well :thumb:

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought, compromised, detoured, lured away, turned back, diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!

Sarah Polley's version is eerily beautiful and dirge-like... and when you watch The Sweet Hereafter you see for yourself why it fits so perfectly with the movie.

perfect description. i just heard it today for the first time, didn't even know that she had covered it. truly gorgeous. i think that courage would be be an especially difficult song to make your own, but she did it very well.

i remember when i first saw the movie and heard the song. it was before the tracker and i wasn't aware of the 100th ftp site, if it was even up at that time. i searched and searched to try and find a soundtrack for the movie with any success. once i found the ftp site i finally was able to hear it without having to rent the movie. i guess i could have bought it. its a fantastic flick.

The whole soundtrack is actually pretty good if you like somber ambience. If you liked the flick, it's worth purchasing.

Like many others, Polley's version blew me away.

It sounds like the same version used at the end of a Charmed episode.
