I am heading out to BC at the end of this month and was just wondering if there are any folks on hipbase who know were to find a bit of fun on the island. This is my first time out there and I hear there are some good clubs in Victoria with live music and stuff. As well I was wondering if anyone knows where Emery seed company is in Vancouver.

Ahhh, perhaps you better find another place to visit . . . MArc Emery is not haveing a good time these days, having been busted by the DEA and is now caught up in an international "incident," with the US trying to tell Canada and Canadians what and how they should do things.

I had heard something like that was going on but wasn't sure. Oh well I guess I can find enough trouble to get into out there myself. I don't even know where Nanoose Bay is lol.

When I go out there this time of year I always do some coastal cutthroat fishing. But that may not be your thing.

i regretabbly never got out to the island during my year in vancouver

if you're on the ''mainland'' check out jericho road beach, beautiful view of north van/stanley park/downtown/a few bridges and of course the mountains

i sometimes look at this site, which is a webcam that place (during daylight hours and depending on weather conditions)

sucks about marc emery, i went to one of his ralleys(SP?) back in 2002 to protest that very thing MAv mentioned, at the end of the day he walked around with a jar of bud & handing out nuggets to the folks who stuck around
