I believe that Richard Pryor was named #1 comedian of all time on a Comedy Central list. RIP RP.

From David Letterman to Eddie Murphy to Chris Rock and every comedian who has likewise advanced the art form, Richard Prior is always cited as influence number 1. He is a significant figure in American cultural, far beyond stand-up comedy.

His life was too short and too tough in it's final years. Rest In Peace Mother F***&^!

Man, this is sad news. He was truly one funny, brilliant comic. Perhaps the funniest guy ever. R.I.P. Mr. Pryor.
