Wednesday I think Global is showing That night in Toronto on T.V. ANyone hear about it I saw it on a banner on the screen before Lost last night. I would assume it will be in HD. Sweet if it is true.

It is on the JAM! TV listings site for 10PM Wed Dec 7th. 1 Hour. Not sure about HD....

Given that it's only an hour slot (presumably minus 15-20 mins for commercials), and the concert runs over 100 minutes on the DVD, it means they're showing roughly half the show...I wonder what's going to get cut?

I think it's pretty awesome, not only that it's being aired, but that it seems to be getting a lot of promotion. I saw a bunch of commercials for it, and if I wasn't already a fan, the commercials would have intrigued me. By only showing an hours' worth, it might inspire people who enjoy the show to go buy the DVD.

Just double-checked it...the DVD version actually runs a little more than 1hr and 56mins, meaning the TV version may only include 1/3 of the actual concert footage (8-10 songs). Assuming the opener (VS) and closer (Blow), are included, that only leaves 6-8 additional tracks...
Better than nothing, I suppose, but part of the charm of the DVD version (to me anyway) is it's flow, which will obviously suffer greatly due to all the cuts; it makes you wonder if they'll pick and choose songs and rearrange them from the original set list to make a better "fit"?...
Regardless, I agree it's perfect advertising for the DVD (and full box set) entering the Xmas season...never a bad thing... :thumb:

Yeah - just saw a commercial for it at the start of Survivor tonight. Next Wednesday at 10pm on Global - "World Television Premier" apparently...

hey i haven't seen any previews yet for global 'maritimes' is this goin to be a national thing or just gta or 'west'
hopefully national love to spread the news around to people that haven't seen it yet (waiting to open it x-mas morning)

The tagline was "World Television Premier" and even though there are some of us that think the world doesn't extend outside of the GTA, I would imagine that Global throughout Canada would be carrying it at some point.
