Wow, that's sad. I've watched Karate Kid 1 and 2 a few times each... his character made an impression on me.
I wonder how many kids growing up in the 90's would only remember him from his two-second appearance in Weezer's video for Buddy Holly?

This is sad news indeed. I have fond memories of the first two Karate Kid movies. I must have watched 'em at least 50 times when I was a kid. R.I.P. Mr. Miyagi.
Speaking of which, did anybody ever see "The Next Karate Kid" with two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank? Bet she wishes she could erase that one from her resume, haha.
