The Concert Fool... revisited
#1

Invariably, at a concert there's going to be some jerk who won't shut up, or just plays the concert fool. Don't you wish that a performer would single out this fool, and tell him off. Well, here's a video of Matt Nathanson doing just that!

This is a 50mb file.

lol, that was pretty funny. sad too though...i wonder how many artists fantasize about saying stuff like that at shows but never do it.

Nicely done Matt...you sure showed him!! Sure it's great that this guy roasts a fan from the stage and the jackass has to sit there and listen to it, but something tells me that his tune might change if they were both down on the floor having this conversation face to face. It's sort of like taunting the lion in his cage while you can relax in your finery on the other side of the bars.

Matt is my F**kin' HERO!

And you know what - my money's on Matt if they were to actually meet in the parking lot! I HATE JERKS THAT DO THAT! :rambo: :rambo:

Oh yeah, blame it on the alcohol because you checked your manners at the door! :rambo: :rambo:

That was a pretty cool version of the song too.

I kinda agree with Goulet. There's a line with this kind of thing, and at some point you cross over it and then you're throwing taunts at someone from behind the safety of the security guards.

And am I mistaken, or did he actually start off by saying something about people beating the shit out of the guy? That's a bad, bad mistake ... if you do that, and anyone touches him, you're screwed.

I agree. Credit where credit is due, the string of insults was damn funny (it had a whiff of Triumph the Insult Dog about it), but the whole thing seemed pretty uncalled for, from what was recorded on tape.

Okay, so the guy is drinking and talking at a club. Shocker!!!! Confusedhock: Is it rude? Yes. Is it unexpected? Hardly. Is it Nathan Whatshisname's job to lay into the guy like that? Doubtful, unless there were verbal barbs being directed at him specifically, or if someone was getting visibly upset/hurt on account of the joker's actions. But I'm sure someone in the guy's vicinity could've told him to pipe down while the song was going on.

Yeah one can get a little sensitive to distractions when in front of a crowd, but seriously, if you're so concerned about hearing chatter going on THEN DON'T UNPLUG YOUR FRICKIN' GUITAR!!!!!!!
