Yeah , the movie's alot darker than the series , but it definitely has some classic Trailer Park Boy moments . It's been awhile since I've seen it , but I seem to recall that only Ricky and Julian made it from the movie to the series . There might be a couple others ... It was also filmed in black and white. Worth checking out if you're TPB's fan .

Damn, I missed the season priemer. I'm sure they'll replay the season a dozen or so times though so I'm not too worried. The movie is pretty good too. I think I have it on tape somewhere as well. Worth a look if you're a fan.

Only 3 years later, but obviously the right timing with the season 6 premiering on sunday.
TPB party! my place(well, my car at least, and i can only pick up The Littlest Hobo)
I also noticed season 5 dvd isn't released until may 9th.

Season starts Sunday so you didn't miss anything.
The movie isn't nearly as funny as the series.

i'd agree, the series is only getting better, but the original movie is interesting to look at, at least to compare. Ricky still has the same shirt.

I made a DVD+R with two essential TPB shows any fan should have - the original B&W pilot [22-Aug-98] & the Xmas special [12-Dec-04].
Both are encoded from the original TV airings with commercials edited out. The pilot runs 67 mins and the Xmas special 45 mins. Full menus with rotating audio clips are included.
I sent Highlander a copy last year and he seemed to like it, so if anyone is interested, shoot me a PM and if there's enough interest I'll open up a B&P.
