Saw II
#1

Anybody here like scary movies?? Im not a big horror fan, but the first Saw movie was wild, that ending was something else. The trailer for the second movie is out, just thought I'd share it...not scared are you?

There is no way they can top the first movie. The first one had terrible acting, but it was worth it just for the ending.

The acting was weak for sure, but that ending was one of the best, it reminded me of Seven, that had a crazy ending too.

Im not much into today's horror/slasher movies, it more for teenagers. But I did enjoy getting scared when I was a kid, I really liked "Halloween", the build up and the music made it a great movie.

Any big horror freaks here? Have a favorite scary movie?

I'm definitely a big horror freak. The majority of today's horror flicks aren't half as creepy or original as the ones from the 70s and 80s, but I've seen a few recent ones that I thought were pretty decent: Saw, High Tension, Shallow Ground, Land of the Dead, and the Devil's Rejects were all great. Even last year's re-make of Dawn of the Dead was pretty good (who ever thought we'd see Sarah Polley kicking zombie ass!). I agree the acting in Saw was pretty awful, but the premise and the story were both great. And the ending was perfect!

I'd have to say my favorite horror flick of all time is the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre. To this day that is still the most disturbing and twisted piece of cinema I've ever seen. I recently watched the special-edition DVD and I was amazed at how well it holds up. It's just as creepy now as it was when I was a kid. That crappy re-make they did with Jessica Biel doesn't even come close to matching the low-budget brilliance of the original.
