#1

<!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.harbourfrontcentre.com/summerfestivals/eastCoast.php">http://www.harbourfrontcentre.com/summe ... tCoast.php</a><!-- m -->

This weekend Matt Mays + El Torpedo are doing a free show on Friday night and Joel Plaskett is free on Saturday night.

Anyone heading down? If so, I'm going to try and catch the Friday show.

Ok, so I like head down last night with a friend to catch Matt Mays. The website for the festival said it was at Spadina and Queensquay area. So I'm walking around for like an hour and I can't find this CIBC stage anywhere!!!!! WHERE WAS IT? Did this show actually happen.

According to the little cartoon at the bottom of the page on the above link, the CIBC stage is at the back corner of the Harbourfront Centre complex. But as you can see from the little map above it, it's a little ways east of Spadina. Maybe you didn't go that far?

I don't know whether the concert actaully happened or not.

Both shows whent down and were awesome, The first night at the MM+ET show the crowd was pretty weak and no doubt due to the weather, fairly tame thru out the night until cocaine cowgirl - great show and new keyboard player as well. Saturday night again great weather and the place was packed caught most of gordie sampsons set aswell but didnt get into it thou, the place was packed and people were waiting to grab front row railing by the time sampson was ending his set , Highlights were the la de da songs from plasketts solo effort and a brand new song called a million dollars which wasnt on the setlist - The harborfront center CIBC stage was an awesome place to see a show and seeing these two great canadian bands at such a great venue for free no less was a perfect way to spend a weekend-

I will not give up. My face is set,my gait is fast,my goal is heaven,my road is narrow,my way is rough,my companions are few,my guide is reliable,my mission is clear. I cannot be bought,compromised,detoured,lured away,turned back,diluted or delayed. I will not flinch in the face of sacrifice,hesitate in the presence of adversity,negotiate at the table of the enemy,ponder at the pool of popularity,or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I will not give up,shut up or slow down....Blessed Be!
