I'm surprised that I didn't already find a poll like this one.
Beat posted a thread asking us what our favorite top 3 songs and albums are. I found it interesting how different peoples answers were.
With this poll I'd like to find out what the most universally liked album is. I guess it's just something that I have always wondered. It's a pretty difficult question.

I posted a topic pertaining to the the forum's favourite years ( 1988-1995, or 1996 - present ). I was surprised to find that most people prefer the newer hip. Although it is more musically intelligent, I can't get enough of RA, FC, or DFN. Long live the Hip and all their talent.

yeah, it's really hard farmerdan. I guess the poll won't be that accurate because it is so hard to choose. I have three favorite albums and #1 changes every once in a while.
maybe the poll should have been:
What phase do you like the best?
1. EP - UTH - RA
2. FC - DFN - TATH
3. PP - M@W - IVL
That would be a lot easier to decide...well maybe not. No, now that i've written it, it wouldn't!

After 17 votes Fully Completley and Day For Night are tied for first place. I bet most knowledgeable Hip fans could have predicted these albums would be the most popular. My bet is that it will stay this way.
I'm surprised that Phantom Power is ahead of Up to Here and Road Apples, but there are still only 17 votes.

I knew there would be a thread like this. . although many Hip albums are amazing, and have good writing. .
I have a feeling trouble at the henhouse was their pinnacle work, and is personally my favourite. . listen to it start to finish. . they attain a groove within a groove. . it's so comfortably and confidently done.
It took me a while to "get it" however
My next would probably be Day for Night, Phantom Power, and In Violet Light

I voted for PP...great album over all, and the first hip CD I purcahsed. Before that, I had been relying on mix tapes. :thumb:

today i voted phantom power but for years i stuck by "day for night."
i was playing IVL today and that isn't far off either. i've never really loved "trouble in the henhouse." but i've seen other polls where that one was tops. people who are just starting into the hip seem to steer towards "up to here." i found after "fully completely" that the albums take a long time to sink in. thats just me.

I voted for "Trouble" since for me it's got the perfect blend of driving rockers, poetic lyrics and beautiful songs. It's everything Hip.
Giftshop, ABAC, 700ft, Sherpa, Engaged and Flamenco are among my favourite songs period.

Phantom Power is my sentimental favorite for many reasons, but I decided to vote for IVL instead. I love everything the Hip have done, but I usually gravitate towards the newer stuff. I've always felt that the best Hip album is always the latest one.
