I LOVE that show. Have been obsessed since the first episode of the first season. My newphew and I have discussed auditioning for it but I work in the travel industry and have a feeling that they would reject us because of that. Also I'm not real thrilled about having a film crew with me 24/7.
Were they starting the new race or could you tell?

I just read something about this edition of the Race - since this is the 4 member family edition, it is rumored to be a US only Race. They started like July 7th in Florida, maybe.

Hmmmm, very interesting. It would make sense with the families to keep it within one country, not to have to deal with border crossings, etc. But I always love seeing the different places in the world they go to so I'm sure I will miss watching that.
And I wonder what I would do if I happened to be somewhere they were filming and I saw the race flag or one of the clue boxes? I know I missed them once in Singapore by about a week.

I'm totally hooked on TAR! My only complaint is that it's only open to Americans.

In my opinion, TAR is the best of the "reality" shows. And some of the people that they recruit are hilarious - like that guy either last season or the season before who is 25 (or something around there) but still has his mom cut his toenails. It's my new definition of a nancy-boy. I always thought of the Darkest Canuck when I saw that guy.

I get excited just reading about this show. It's the only show that I actually make an effort to not miss. And whenever I did, I was online downloading it before the night was through so that I'd be up-to-date.
What a great way to ensure that they don't spoil the fun for everyone by revealing the status of the contestants!!

this one and Survivor I've always watched, any other reality tv crap ain't worth it, guess it's because they're sort of the original reality tv shows
AR is great, I love travelling and watching people go around the world in a race is pretty cool, you get to see amazing places that you would probably never go to
there's American Idol which is older too but we won't get into that waste of a half-hour hour on television
