Does anyone know the history? Why did they break up? I saw Thornley Saturday night and Ian didn't seem to care about the new stuff, but he talked upi the Big Wreck songs they played?

Its only $20 if you want to be in the beer tent area at the front. Everywhere else is free. Taken from the web-page:

Saw Thornley and Grady last nite at balloonfest, that was the first time I saw Grady and boy did they kick some ass, I only caught half of their set, but they sounded good, and they did "diggin a hole" from the Big Sugar days and it sounded great. Thornley rocked loud and hard as usual, the coolest part was the encore they played "the Oaf" and then Gordie Johnson came out and they did a cover of Led Zeppelin's "Immigrant Song" it was pretty cool actually. Id say there was at least 10,000 people there, it was a good turnout, so much so they asked Thornley to play again tonight with Bobnoxious, so I think I'll check em out again. :thumb:

Big Wreck was the first legal age show I didn't have to sneak into, two days after the 19th birthday. I remember being blown away at the time by how loud they played. These guys were all rock and roll though, especially with their lifestyle. Some friends of mine partied with them on that same tour when it rolled through Peterbourgh. I won't repeat the stories, but if those rumours and inuendos are true then let's just say it's amazing Ian Thornley's still alive.
Ladylike still blows my mind.
