This is an exciting day for hockey fans, Im glad this shit is finally over and we can move on, Im tired of spending my Saturday nights with the wife
So its official now the NHL is back!! New look, new rule changes, and I do like most of them, Im glad the "tag-up" rule is back in, and the "two-line" pass is now legal, that should open things up. Im still not sure about the shootouts, have to see how it plays out, it might grow on me. But they did change the schedules to make more rivalries, thats good too. And a new NHL Logo to boot! I can barely contain myself..

Montreal Canadian fans shouldn't be too upset. Picking fifth overall, I see them selecting Gilbert Brule of the Vancouver Giants. He's short, He's French, He's fast, and if he is available Montreal fans might pick a gem.

Im not too upset, I think Crosby would of have been the next Beliveau had he joined, maybe when he becomes a free-agent at the ripe old age of 25 they will sign him up, but its up to Crosby at that point, I think he will follow in Mario's footsteps and stay, I guess it depends on how Pittsburgh rebounds from the last few years. On the upside that Brule kid looks like a good one, hopefully the 3 teams before us wont take him, Id be very happy with him in Montreal. Im just glad Crosby didn't end up with the ducks, or we never would see him play, but the ducks must have been licking there lips they almost had Crosby and Perry on the same team, thats a pretty good foundation.

i hope the habs draft Puliot or Staal, SUDBURY WOLVES REPRESENT! Puliot is sick with the offense, and Staal is a really good stay at home defensemen, and either one would be a great addition to the club, personally i think Staal would be great because D is one of the main area that Montreal need to improve upon.

The new league is a bit fucked if you ask me. This whole salary cap is rediculous.
It punishes good owners like Mike Illich, while rewarding assholes like Bill Wirtz who has run the Hawks franchise into the gd ground!
Also, this Bettman should be hung. Stinky dick licker lets in a bunch of new bullshit teams in towns that cannot support them, dilluting the talent of the league, and now the traditional markets like the TO, Detroit, Montreal, have to suffer because Nashville has a god damn team. Those fucking hillbilly's don't know what the fuck hockey is!! And to add insult to injury, Quebec, Winnepeg, don't have teams, Edmonton, Pittsburgh, and Ottawa are hanging by a thread. Now dudes like Forsberg may play in Europe for the next season. This is fucked.
