Hey, I was just wondering what everyone else though of the new single 'be yourself'.

I'm really into it, can't wait for the album in May.

I really dig the new single, but fear that it will be played out before the CD hits shelves.

I love the new single and am very excited about the new album. May can't come soon enough.

It just doesn't do it for me, and this is coming from a guy who WORSHIPPED Rage, and Soundgarden, and loved the first Audioslave cd. I was expecting a real rocker, and it is a little too nice.

It will probably grow on me though. I didn't like "I am the Highway" when I first heard it and then it became the most powerful cut on the first record in my mind.

I don't know... I find the Audioslave songs OK, but they don't blow me away by any means. Guess I just expected more from the combo of Chris Cornell and the RATM guys...

Im soo mad I never got to see RATM, I still never understood why they broke up, they had such a good thing going, "The Battle of Los Angeles" was by far their best album and then poof! Over, splitsville! That really sucked. Im glad I saw Soundgarden, I caught them on there final tour in T.O. before the split. Audioslave is good, but not amazing by any means. IMO.

If I remember correctly, Zack de la Rocha and the other RATM guys drifted apart in terms of what kind of songs they wanted to write. Zack's always been hard-core militant and I think that's why the others wanted out. just my two cents american.

Yes, that's correct. Zach is a very hardcore militant about a lot of stuff, that's why Rage rocked soooooo hard. I know Tom Morello (guitar) has a political science degree, so he is very active as well, but Tim C and Brad Wilk just want to play music and didn't have as much of a tie to the political side of things.

I saw Rage live at The Big Day Out in Queensland Australia in 96. It was just as they released Evil Empire and they were such an amazing live act. I was I was at the very front, right against the railing. Awesome show.

Anybody go to the band's website www.audioslave.com and download the new single: "your time has come". Its a good song, probably not the best on the album but I think it would be a rockin live tune.

Tom's pretty hard core militant as well so is the bass player, the drummer is the only one in the band that wasn't very politically active, he just liked rocking people everynight
