Haha, that's awesome! I certainly hope this means a full-on cross Canada tour, cause if they're just teasing us I'm gonna be mad.

That is so awesome! I don't think the boys would do that to us...but they are pretty sinister to put the anthem on their site. That is such a tease! I am sure they are getting a kick out of this. It is sort of funny ...but only if they come to Winnipeg Smile If not, then it is a cruel joke.

I'm sure that is a shot at the Bush administration more than anything.

Good point. I also find it funny how guys like PJ told fans before the 2000 election that if Bush won they would leave the US. I believe Eddie delcared that when I saw them at the ACC in October of 2000. (others to make the comments include Alec Baldwin).

Funny this is, it is now 2005 and well I dont think his country of residence has changed.

That's because rock stars just say stuff like that to get people to cheer at concerts. Eddie is a fantastic entertainer. That's what he does.

I think a Winnipeg stop is definitely in the cards, thanks to the new MTS Centre.

I was just over at the Pearl Jam forum and they're going crazy over there with the Canadian tour rumors. There are at least 4 different threads talking about everything from possible cities, to possible venues, possible ticket pricing, and whether or not Canadian Ten Club members will get seating priority at the shows. It's hilarious. One guy who says he works at the arena in Thunder Bay said that Pearl Jam's management contacted them last week asking about seating capacity and availability. Sounds promising, but I'm not holding my breath until I actually hear it from the band. And if they do announce a tour, I pray to the rock n' roll gods that there's at least one Calgary date on the itinerary.

The Folks running the Moncton Coliseum say they are working their asses off trying to get them here, so I am assuming if they come this far east they will also hit St. John and Halifax!

I'd be all for a Canadian Pearl Jam tour, but if they're going to Thunder Bay, let it be in the fall. I'm heading up to Lakehead in September and I'm going to need some excitment up there.

Cheers

i think people are hoping for too much here. as much as i would love to see this canadian tour happen...i dont think they will be playing smaller towns in any province in this country. I would quess at most 1 stop/province...maybe a double show in toronto/vancouver/montreal...but not places like thunderbay...anyways, i gues your guess is as good as mine...we will have to wait and see on the 19th!
