Watching hockey night in canada Don cherry mentioned himself being in the new hip video the darkest one - so there will be a video for the song coming out proably next week from what he said at least a preview then

Beat me to it!
I thought I misheard Ron when he said it, but (being the true blue Buds fan I am) I had taped the game for the Sittler tribute and on video review, it's true...Grapes and the Hip in a video, and for the Darkest One (still my favorite tune of IVL)!
I wonder if they're saving it for a world premiere on "Hockey Day in Canada" next Saturday??? Marketing genius, if that's the case...
Speaking of the case...my beer's empty...

No news this past weekend about it...hmmm...
Makes me wonder if Ron jumped the gun (ie. confused "might be in a video" with "is in a video")? Anyway, just to follow-up on the matter, I've sent inquiring emails to both CBC sports (ie. to Ron Maclean) and the band to see if we can't get to the bottom of this...
Ron seemed pretty excited about it when he first brought it up...I can't believe this was all in his imagination...
I'll let you all know what (if anything?) I hear back...

FINALLY!

Set those VCRs!! The video will be debuting this SUNDAY night following "Trailer Park Boys" on the Showcase Network...apparently, this will be the only time the "uncut" version (?) will be shown...

They're still showing repeats of trailer park boys right now aren't they? Dosn't matter since they're all hiarious but I for one can't wait for the new season.

Little bit of a sidetrack but does anyone see the point of being subscribed to both the hip mailing list and being a member of the hip club. Obviously I can see the point of being a hip club member in regards to the advanced tickets and free downloads and stuff like that. 8) But their emails are identicle to the hip mailing list and always come after the regular hip mailing list. :?
Not really a complaint, but I guess I was just expecting something a little different from the regular hip mailing list. Like maybe having access to the new video through the hip club site. That would be cool.
