...has leaked, and kicks major ass! i just just finished dl'ing it, and lemme say, it is every bit as good as I imagined it'd be. Very dark, methodical, moody, with a back to the QOTSA basics approach that harkens back to the s/t, and Rated R. I think we have our first serious contender for album of the year 2005 folks! fuck i love this band! I'll give a full review tomorrow, i got to get to bed and listen to this bad boy again before i pass out ! I will say this though, if you only have time to check out one track from it, get "You've Got A Killer Scene There Man", if you don't like it, you suck, and you need to stop listening to rock & roll and find yourself a new genre.

I'm not a huge fan of QOTSA, but I do like them. I have to admit the only reason I ever checked them out in the first place was because I heard that good old Dave Grohl was sitting in on the drums. At the time I figured that anything involving Dave was worth a listen, and I was right. Songs for the Deaf is a solid album full of fun, intelligent, ear-bleedin hard rock. Ain't nothin wrong with that.
Having said that, I still stand by my opinion that nobody, and I mean NOBODY rocked as hard as the Headstones. Seriously, no other band on earth kicked my ass like Hugh and the boys did. I miss them.

I saw QOTSA when they opened for the chili peppers. I was really looking forward to seeing them, but I cam eout very dissapointed. If found their live show lacking. Maybe I will have to give them another try...

i think that's because they were opening for a huge band, in a huge venue, and that's really not their area of expertise. they're all about playing clubs that are packed to the tits with people who are there specifically to see them. i saw them in 2002 at Kool Haus with ...Trail Of Dead, The Burning Brides, and they completely blew me away. it was such a high energy performance that everybody in the venue must've lost at least 5 pounds in sweat, it was crazy. it's a shame i'm leaving Atlanta on the day that they're playing, because i'd love to see them again, oh well, i might go see the Kings Of Leon while i'm in the ATL, so it's all good.

i saw QOTSA live.....it was the worst concert experience of my life. Just a bunch of NOISE. Good thing Zwan picked up their slack on that show.

Zwan are good, but there's no way that they're better live, and you're hearing this from the biggest Corgan freak of them all (c'mon, the man can barely sing live, helluva guitar player and performer, just not a very good singer, Joshe Homme on the other hand is a very well rounded talent, with good guitar playing and vocal skills).
btw, i forgot to mention, you haven't even heard this album yet!!!!!!! and we're not even (supposed to be) talking about concerts here, this is about the ALBUM! THE IN STUDIO RECORDINGS THAT ARE NOW AND WILL BE FOREVER KNOWN AS: "LULLABIES TO PARALYZE". I'm listening to it again right now, and it's still kicking my ass, and i expect it will continue to do so for quite some time. you haven't heard it though, and don't seem very interested in it, so you should probably bugger off.
