Say you've only got time to play 3 songs on your way to wherever, and your CD player is busted and can't skip songs...which 3 consecutive songs would be your pick to listen to in that given time? Don't convolude this by saying "well am I going to a rock concert or to a funeral" just pick your favorite trifecta...it's not as easy as you may think!!!
Here is mine...
Chagrin Falls, Escape and Emperor Penguin

If the CD player can't skip songs, how are we skipping the nine songs before Chagrin Falls? It must not be broken afterall...I'm playin' the whole damned CD; so what if I'm late!
As your question is posed, one would have to select three tracks beginning with track # 1 on any given CD. Under that condition, my Choice would be a toss up between DFN (Grace/DD/Greasy) & LBU (Grace/Fully/Springtime).
If the player is only mostly broken (like "mostly dead") then I'd probably go with your most excellent choices from PP or three off UTH: Trickle Down/Another Midnight/Opiated.

I figured someone would raise this issue, your sleuthing skills are most excellent Scott...ok, assume that you can start off on any song you want but from that point forward, no more skipping.

Cool question. Right now I'd have to go with A Beautiful Thing, The Dire Wolf, and The Dark Canuck.
Another good choice would be My Music At Work, Tiger the Lion, and Lake Fever.

That is a tough call. I'll go with these:
DFN - same as Jenna
Road Apples - Three Pistols, Fight, On the Verge
